Mugs for Jonna Jinton
Jonna Jinton is a filmmaker, artist, jewelry designer and musician from northern Sweden.
Inspired by her beautiful videos, the colors of her vast, nordic landscapes, her art and beautiful silver jewelry design, we designed four handmade mugs for her.

Each one is a unique piece of art.
No two mugs are ever the same - each one carries its own charm, character, and its unique color flow.
Our stoneware ceramics is high-fired at 1220°C (2228°F).

Jonna’s magical videos have been a source of inspiration for us!
They transport us into her beautiful and fairytale like world:
The vast untouched landscapes of northern Sweden, where the mist dances above endless forests, lakes mirror the sky, and the ice begins to sing while freezing.
And it’s exactly this feeling that we wanted to capture in our mugs:
The cold blue colors of her nature, the “Singing Ice”, and the night sky, combined with her beautiful paintings and her silver jewelry design.
We tested glaze combinations and different colors of clay, so they would become one with Jonna’s spirit and the natural colors surrounding her world.
And that’s when we started sketching and painting our first watercolor mug-designs.
WILD
The WILD mug is featuring the beautiful reindeer antler from Jonna’s “Wild” jewelry collection.

SINGING ICE
And this mug is inspired by the colors of the SINGING ICE, the cold blue tone of the winter, carrying the calm and beauty of the harsh and frozen northern landscape.
When we make our mugs, every single step is done by hand, with lots of love!
We pull each handle by hand, forming it with care, so it flows naturally with the shape of the mug.
Then we gently work out all the fine details of the antler and carefully attach it.
Each mug is brushed with up to seven layers of glaze, creating its unique depth and color.
In a third firing, the antlers of the WILD mugs are refined with bright platinum luster.
Each mug is truly one of a kind.
Like a piece of art!
